Shaun Martinak

Research/Portfolio Manager, Digital Assets

Shaun Martinak is a Research/Portfolio Manager for Digital Assets at One River Asset Management. Shaun is responsible for the creation and execution of digital asset investment products, as well as contributing to research in the field. Prior to One River, Shaun was a managing director at British Columbia Investments, one of Canada's largest pension plans at ~$160B, where he built and ran the $1B direct/co-investment team focusing on idiosyncratic opportunities across public and private markets in credit, equity, and alternatives. Prior to BCI, Shaun worked for Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan running a $3B portfolio of systematic and discretionary liquid market trading strategies. He is also a former employee of D.E. Shaw & Co.

Shaun holds a B.S. in Engineering Mechanics and a B.A. in Mathematics and English Literature, both from Columbia University. He also holds an M.B.A. from NYU's Stern School of Business.
